The first of a two phase project this LEED Gold classroom and office building connects two historic sectors of the University of Washington campus. The new business school is a composition of smaller programmatic sectors organized around a grand atrium running the length of the building. The atrium embodies the transformation of the business school into a globally integrated community where the social, natural, and academic environments overlap thus becoming an integrated organism. The buildings organization and transparency encompass a full spectrum of informal student activities, regular programs and special events.
