A significant development process went into the production of ‘White Hammer’. We began our investigation into skate decks by prototyping a half scale WWII era Eames Splint. After perfecting the bending techniques needed for the splint the team moved onto half scale skate deck studies with an eye to push the bends in the molding process to the limits that tailoring the decks laminated layers would allow. The resulting analytical drawings and half scale prototypes greatly informed the elements of excitement and intrigue which would be needed for the final product.
